Description:
As an instrumental part of the construction delivery team, focusing on the delivery of a major construction project in Scotland, you will be based on-site daily, with one of BakerHicks’ key clients in the Life Science industry.
As an experienced Architectural and Building Finishes Construction Supervisor, you will oversee the execution of architectural and finishing works on our EPCM project.
You will coordinate with various trades, ensure compliance with project specifications, and maintain high-quality standards throughout the construction process.
This role is site-based, with substantial time spent in the field overseeing construction activities. The ideal candidate will preferably reside in the area (or surrounds), and able to travel to site daily.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: HNC, HND or similar in building and Construction Management, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Significant experience in construction supervision, specifically in architectural finishes and related trades.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of architectural plans, specifications, and construction methods.
Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Oversee daily operations of architectural and finishes works, ensuring adherence to project schedules and safety standards.
- Coordination: Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of work completed, verifying compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and industry best practices.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work progress, change orders, and daily reports; ensure all documentation is up to date and submitted as required.
- Problem-Solving: Address any issues or conflicts that arise on-site in a timely and effective manner, liaising with project management as necessary.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety on-site, conducting safety meetings and training as needed.
- Schedule Management: Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, providing updates on progress and identifying potential delays.
