Overview:
SSOE is seeking an architectural business leader to continue the growth of the firm in the Midwest and in the greater Columbus, OH market. The opportunity is part of a continued strategic investment that SSOE is making to strengthen and grow the architecturally based design practice. This position will be part of the practice-level leadership team and will be given the resources needed to expand our client base in higher education, K-12, healthcare, governmental, and general commercial markets. Business development, client management, and overall team vision/leadership are necessary qualities.

Responsibilities:

The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service to our clients while leading a team or architects, engineers, and interior designers within collaborative environment.

  • This role is pivotal for driving the strategic growth of our Midwest architectural practice. The ideal candidate will possess established client relationships and a track record of cultivating new connections at local and regional levels.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, technical, written, and verbal communication skills. An experienced, highly motivated, self-directed professional with a hands-on attitude and the ability to work with a diverse, multidisciplinary team.
  • Interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating large architectural lead design assignments with overall responsibility for all aspects of the overall program and specific projects. Leads client meetings and facilitates decisions to resolve important questions and to plan and coordinate overall programs and specific projects.
  • Travel required.
