Architectural Department Manager

Oversee the projects’ architecture designs that match the clients’ needs, and ensure that they are functional, safe and economical through implementing effective quality control system, while ensuring the best utilization of company resources in accordance with the overall company objectives to maximize profitability.
Plan, prioritize and supervise projects and all tasks carried out by the Architectural Department as per projects’ schedules in coordination with top management.
Develop and maintain the quality control system during different design stages (by preparing the proper formats and check lists).
Carry out meetings with clients to clarify project requirements, programs, milestones and necessary information to start the design work.
Manage (Conceptual, competition & detailed drawings) for different types of projects in coordination with Senior Architect and interfere in design process if required.
Engineering coordination with other departments (MEP, Structural, Contracts) during different design phases to ensure that the final product is fully coordinated.
Provide inputs to the Contract Department to prepare financial proposals, feasibility studies and cost
Supervise the preparation of the final approved drawings and submit them to the selected contractors
Train the architectural staff to be in line with the quality control system and procedures
Plan and monitor the feedback procedures from construction sites to the architectural design section to avoid design mistakes and bad coordination
Monitor the performance of the Architectural and Follow up staff to ensure the design work correctness, completeness as well as compliance with scope of work requirements and with technical standards
Ensure that the work is prepared and completed within the project budgets
Ensure the design deliverables is as mentioned in the project consultancy agreement.
Prepare and supervise all correspondence work (all official correspondence work to be reviewed by the Head of Department).
§ A Bachelor degree in Architecture.
§ Must have minimum 15 years of experience at least 5 years in similar role or position.
§ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to meet stated customer initiated deadlines.
§ Ability to manage people.
§ Must be goal orientated, with the ability to manage through influence.
§ Must have good organizational skills.
§ Must be proactive and energetic.
§ Must be flexible and creative.
