Description:
PROJECT ARCHITECT
Location: The Woodlands, Texas
Employment Type: Full-time
Lancaster + Wyatt Architects LLP is seeking a Project Architect with a minimum of 5 years of commercial experience to join our dynamic team. This motivated individual will collaborate directly with the Principal Architect, helping to develop and refine design concepts from Schematic Design through Construction Documentation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of commercial architecture experience.
- Architectural degree preferred (Texas licensure required).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Experience with Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Illustrator, and other 3D graphics programs is a plus.
- Strong detail development skills (building sections, wall sections, enlarged plan details).
- Proficiency in IBC, IFC codes, and Texas Accessibility Standards.
- Excellent written communication and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities:
- Develop schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
- Perform quality control reviews on design documents.
- Coordinate projects with consultants throughout design development.
- Maintain and oversee project schedules.
- Meet with clients, consultants, and general contractors as required.
- Assist in developing design and construction document strategies, including identifying required plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- Assist in planning and revising construction documents.
- Communicate with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Ensure construction documentation meets in-house quality control standards and industry best practices.
- Work collaboratively with the Project Leadership Team and Principal Architect.
