Job Objectives
As an Architectural Technician / Technologist you will work as part of the Building and Planning team, with particular responsibility for the preparation of production such as drawings at various stage of a project, schedules and specifications. The role will involve work on site visits, administrative procedures to do with building regulations, planning applications, the building contract, etc.
This will involve the following on a daily basis:
Key Responsibilities
Live and promote Nua Healthcare’s core principles in all interactions and activities.
Support the design, planning, and construction of healthcare facilities.
Ensuring designs meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.
Adhering to all relevant building regulations and healthcare standards.
Focus on producing high-quality technical drawings, specifications, and documentation that translate design concepts into reality.
Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and various internal teams to ensure that all construction projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Complete reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with Nua Healthcare’s policy and professional standards.
Complete all mandatory training assigned through Nua Healthcare’s Learning Management System.
Promote a safe working environment in accordance with Health and Safety legislation.
Be aware of and implement agreed policies, procedures, and safe professional practices by adhering to relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.
Skills Requirement
Qualification:
Qualification in Architectural Technology
Full drivers licence
Knowledge:
Knowledge of standards and legislation relevant to the area of Construction.
Knowledge of building codes, regulations, construction materials, and methods detail-oriented, with keen attention to details to ensure the accuracy and quality of design execution.
Solid working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office.
Experience:
3 years of experience.
Skills:
Excellent organisational skills; self-motivated; self-starter.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent teamwork skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
Excellent verbal and written communication and IT skills.
Strong analytical skills; dynamic interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and judgment in making decisions and recommendations.
Capable of working within a fast-paced and flexible team.
