We are a leading Design-Build Contractor with a growing internal CAD department. Our team delivers end-to-end solutions and designs for a variety of commercial, residential, and industrial construction projects. Our in-house CAD department allows us to provide innovative and precise architectural designs that meet our clients’ needs efficiently.
As an Architectural Technologist, your leadership will play a vital role in the creation of designs and drawings for various construction projects. You will collaborate closely with the Project Team, internal structural department, external engineering firms, consultants, and trade contractors.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Our ideal candidate has the following:
- Degree/Diploma in Architectural Technology, Building Science, Engineering, or related construction-focused program from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Revit, BIM 360, and architectural design. With strong skills in drafting, modeling, and detailing.
- Knowledge and understanding of architectural standards, building sciences, construction technologies and practices.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings from all disciplines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced design-build environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities across multiple departments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Responsibilities:
Here’s what your day-to-day looks like:
- Manage all stages of the technical design and planning process of building projects.
- Designing to the fundamentals of building physics and science.
- Provide leadership and expertise to the CAD department.
- Designing to 2020 Building Code and Energy Code requirements.
- Implement processes and improve tools in REVIT to facilitate consistent and efficient drawing production.
- Lead and manage BIM related tasks on complex projects.
