DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Opened in January 2014, the Bucharest office is constantly expanding and is now hosting over 1600 employees.

Group Architecture
Enterprise Architecture is one of the key pillars of Deutsche Bank’s IT Strategy and plays a key part in all aspects of defining, managing, governing, and realising our technology strategy to our clients.
The Group Architecture team works collaboratively with federated business and technology departments to ensure that Deutsche Bank has a clear target state architecture whose delivery is managed & supported by appropriate architecture principles, standards, frameworks, tools, and governance processes. Our ultimate goal is to accelerate the delivery of a bank-wide simplified target architecture, improve technology agility, increase speed-to-market, and reduce cost across our technology landscape
Role Description
The Architecture Governance & Execution Project Manager role will work closely with all the domain architects across all locations and functions within Deutsche Bank to:
- Support the definition of the Group-wide architecture governance, approach, key artefacts and standards, and drive adoption across the bank
- Ensure that appropriate business & technology architecture forums are in place & to work across those forums to support mobilisation and operation according to the defined architecture standards, principles & strategy
- Work with the Group Architecture Communications team to ensure the agreed governance approach, standards, artefacts, and tooling are communicated clearly to key stakeholders
- Produce architecture metrics, management information and further insights to support the adherence to those architecture standards & processes
- To get involved in Architecture related special projects or associated activities across DB (dependent on capacity and bank-wide priorities)
Key Responsibilities:
· Work with Architecture and Programme teams across the business lines and domains of the bank to support definition and mobilisation of Design Authority governance structures & control standards as a central Group Architecture aligned approach
· Support and maintain Design Authority related methodologies to ensure a consistent approach is taken using project management tools, processes, and practices
· Understand the overall architecture principles, standards & target state architecture for Deutsche Bank and be able to help provide support and guidance to project / programme managers and architects
· Produce and analyse Architecture Governance artefacts across the organisation to ensure quality & consistency in implementation. Highlight and escalate issues, trends and improvement opportunities and support the organisation in defining and managing remedial action plans
· Perform specific analysis/design efforts as needed and construct responses for consumption at all stakeholder levels. Support Architecture and Programme teams in the framing of problems and architecture decisions for the governance forums
· Implement tooling to facilitate and enhance the effectiveness of the governance forums or architecture governance processes
· Prepare instructional materials to support the up-skilling of Architecture and Programme teams to engage effectively in the Group Architecture governance processes
- Train, coach and mentor project and programme managers in relation to architecture methodologies, delivery processes and best practices in order to continually develop skills and capabilities thus supporting consistent delivery improvement
- Prepare communications materials for senior management and external regulators as required
Required skills:
- Results and customer-oriented individual with a passion for learning, resilience, and a focus on delivery in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- 5+ years of project management experience in implementing IT systems or infrastructure changes in large, complex organizations, including requirements management, architecture design, application design, programming, and testing.
- Practical understanding of Enterprise Architecture methodologies, frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), project management and Agile methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMI).
- Experience with process improvement and the ability to develop and understand KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate stakeholders on process and tools improvement, and synthesize complex information into concise, valuable insights for senior-level stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience in stakeholder management, including liaising and influencing strategic decision-makers such as program sponsors, key business users, and architects.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, MS Office
- Team player with experience working across different global regions and time-zones.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Proficient in analyzing data, identifying patterns, and creating valuable reports to inform decision-making. This includes skills in data visualization tools, and effective communication abilities.
Additional (Preferred) skills:
- Background in design, implementation, or consulting roles as a tech lead or system architect.
- Experience in conceptual, functional, and solution architecture definition, data modeling, or well-developed business and requirements analysis skills.
- Experience in developing and managing governance processes in technology business, operations, or change management roles.
- Relevant Financial Services experience with good knowledge of at least one business domain within Financial Services.
