Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead and coach architectural technologists
- Draft lot specific drawing packages including working drawings and plot plans independently with efficiency and accuracy as needed.
- Manage production scheduling and attending meetings related to future planning and production.
- Assist in the peer check process, reviewing work and lot specific drawing packages as needed.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders during wall sessions and value engineering of new designs and ensure architectural controls are aligned and applied in the division.
- Assist in management of the master plan library for any efficiencies and/or code changes as required.
- Conduct site visits assisting the team in group learning while on site.
- Complete tasks associated with the release of a new phase or community.
What you bring
- Have a strong understanding of construction practices, structure, building science, Calgary and Edmonton by-laws and national building code. An understanding of surrounding areas of Calgary and Edmonton an asset.
- Experience managing and leading, training and developing a team
- Works well in a team environment and is independently self-driven.
- Brings a positive attitude and helps cultivate a supportive and positive team culture.
- Ability to analyze and prioritize different projects to ensure production timelines are met
- Strong attention to detail
