Description:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ideally hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor others, be hands on and motivate a small team.
  • Ability to perform effectively within a pressurized and unpredictable industry and meet tight and competing deadlines.
  • Must be comfortable with IT systems to maximize the use of internal programs and be proficient in Microsoft systems such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Role will require travel of at least 30% of the work time within the geographical area of responsibility.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English is a prerequisite. A fluency in any other language(s) within the geographical area of responsibility with be a distinct advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the VP of International Operations with full P&L and operational responsibility.
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership in the development, implementation, communication and administration of Spearhead business development initiatives and formulate business plans, that are consistent with the company’s overall strategy.
  • Responsible for strategic planning, forecasting, and business performance analysis.
  • Develop and maintain strategic client relationships and partnerships across the assigned geographical region to grow business opportunities.
  • Manage complex contract negotiation and collaborate with relevant inhouse teams as required.
  • Awareness and monitoring of industry trends, competitor activity, and use this knowledge to identify organic and inorganic growth opportunities to create strategic business plans.
  • Setting up and establishing business entities and partnerships in new markets.
  • Gather data and insights on the oil, gas, and mining industry to drive growth opportunities.
  • Acquisition, training, and development of talent to build a high‐performance team with the required skills and industry knowledge.
