Responsibilities:
The Gyprock Area Manager is a Full-time position, based at Townsville, QLD. Reporting to the General Manager you will be effective and a visible leader through the delivery of the Network objectives in trade retail standards, inventory, safety, revenue, cost management, people management and succession planning.
In this role you will:
- Own and implement the GTC network strategy for each area.
- Establish sales targets and budgets for the area in accordance with the overall regional sales strategy.
- Partner with the sales, logistics and customer service teams to ensure that we “Ease the Way” for our customers in a consistent and efficient manner at all times.
- Develop and manage critical business growth opportunities and customer relationships of strategic importance for each area.
- Lead the team, by applying effective leadership practices to build high performing teams.
- Manage and develop the small to medium account customer base for the area.
- Responsible for ensuring each store in the area meet budgets, including managing, reviewing and analysing budgets on a regular basis for inefficiencies and seeking resolutions to the areas of deficit or surplus.
- Effectively manage human resource elements including recruitment, retention, reward/recognition, training, employee development and performance management.
- Conduct regular field/site visits to audit and benchmark performance.
