Description:

The Refugee Resettlement Program Manager is responsible for staff management, grant administration and spearheading the service deliverable within the Refugee Resettlement Program and cooperative agreement associated with the Reception & Placement contract. The responsibilities include supervision and steering of direct services deliverables, administration of direct financial assistance funds to refugee clients and acting as liaison with stakeholders. Responsibilities include strategic programming and deliverables focused on case management for housing access, workforce development, employment security, health access and wellness, educational attainment and other holistic needs of refugee clients specified in the cooperative agreement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Two to four years of related experience in the field including supervisory experience
  • Social work and/or case management experience preferred
  • Experience working with immigrant and/or refugee communities.
  • Displays sensitivity to the refugee client population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Excellent communication; oral, written and interpersonal skills
  • Computer proficiency Microsoft Office, Outlook, MS Word, Excel and others
  • Familiarity with data management software and the use of databases for tracking the delivery of services to clients preferred
  • Bilingual English speaker: Farsi, Armenian, Russian, Dari and Arabic preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Administer, manage and spearhead all the service deliverables in the Reception and Placement cooperative agreement executed with United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) and Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR)
  • Conduct supervision of case managers, interns, volunteers and other team members.
  • Create strategic planning for service delivery for refugee clients.
  • Coordinates agreements, partnerships and services with other nonprofit agencies, churches, government entities, community centers, etc.
  • Prepare case files for review and/or monitoring activities in coordination with CQI and audit purposes.
  • Develops monthly and quarterly reports and to submit in accordance with cooperative
  • Maintain comprehensive, accurate and up to date case files for all assigned cases in accordance with USCCB and ORR cooperative agreement for case file maintenance and documentation.
  • Approve direct financial assistance disbursements cash assistance on a monthly basis or as-needed basis, ensuring the accurate calculation of assistance levels as well as proper documentation of all financial disbursements made to refugee clients.
  • Coordinates in-house training for staff as needed.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with organizations serving the refugee client populations.
  • Support Associate Director in fundraising activities for the R & P program.
  • Serves as community liaison – establish and maintain collaborative relationships with other agencies and community groups.
  • Prepare required reports, proposals, requisitions, and correspondence.
  • Assist in case management as needed.
  • Monitor revenue and expenses on a regular basis.
  • Manage the services delivery of all Reception and Placement for refugee clients.
  • Ensure compliance with performance standards and grant requirements, with guidance and support from the Associate Director
  • Draft narrative and financial reports, conduct analysis and follow up on recommendations.
  • Oversee data tracking and program evaluation tools to monitor work outputs and outcomes.
  • Facilitate meetings to ensure proper communication among all program staff for efficient program coordination.
  • Ensures staff have accurate and complete documentation and filing of all case management services.
  • Conducts staff performance evaluations annually.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
