POSITION SUMMARY:

Manages and oversees multiple dispensaries within Maryland (4 stores)
Participates and serves as opening Lead for New Store Openings (NSO)
Partners with Buying, Inventory, Operations, Human Resources and Compliance channel leads
Collaborates with Integration Partners (field level)
Creates and administers initiatives and incentives (field level)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 50-75% travel to dispensaries
  • Holidays are weekends are required
  • Demonstrates strong communication and collaboration attributes and skills to work and support all levels of the organization
  • Experience managing multi-unit retail sales and operations
  • Proven leadership experience including P&L responsibility
  • Training, coaching and understanding learning/development processes
  • Adaptability in working towards common goals
  • Understands the overall retail environment and competitiveness landscape – recognizes industry trends and proactive in their decision making
  • Lead customer centric team driven by financial and aspirational goals
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including medical and adult use
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Detail oriented, organized, agile, and process driven

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze business trends across all stores within district
  • Develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals within district for all Key Performance Indicators including sales, payroll, expense control, shrink, and store contribution
  • Drive a service and selling culture in the district
  • Ensure company selling and customer service standards are upheld consistently across all stores in the district through effective coaching and training of General Managers and staff
  • Lead consistent store visit evaluations and provide proactive feedback
  • Hire, retain and develop a team of General Managers and Wellness Associates that achieve excellence in all areas of measured performance to meet or exceed company business objectives, drive business through effective scheduling and payroll management
  • Partner with store leadership to develop and maintain operational best practices in the areas of stock flow, floor presentation, asset protection, facilities maintenance, and merchandise functions (price changes, transfers, damages, etc.)
  • Ensure protection of company assets by developing and implementing strong inventory management processes
  • Ensure company policies, procedures, merchandise standards and sales plans are being executed
  • Motivate team through a compelling vision and direction to encompass Apothecarium/Keystone Canna Remedies brand values
  • Coach, motivate and inspire store leadership teams to meet or exceed store forecast sales and profit metrics as well as maximize their individual performance, both face-to-face and remotely
  • Oversees quarterly Retail Performance Scorecards
  • Supervises I.D.P’s and Succession Planning
  • Build, maintain, and utilize cross functional resources to build processes to help improve performance throughout the district such as Training, HR, Marketing, Finance
  • Recognize performance opportunities/issues in a timely manner - partners with Director of Retail Operations and Human Resources to develop documented action plans for resolutions
  • Experience working with start-up ventures and thrives on implementing new, innovative developments that will impact the day-to-day operations
  • Strong understanding of change management
