DESCRIPTION

As area manager Netherlands and Denmark, you will be responsible for the operation of all citizenM hotels of this region.
You will support the hotel managers in their responsibilities and foster togetherness across the properties. You will build strong relationships with all departments within the Support Office working collaboratively in realizing the vision of citizenM in all existing and proposed hotels within the area.

Responsibilities:

  • Through the provision of appropriate resources, training and coaching create the environment that enables hotel managers to deliver the citizenM desired guest experience. Ensure a sound understanding of citizenM values and create the environment where these values live in everything the hotel teams do
  • Support the ongoing casting and immersion of all new hotel employees
  • Build autonomy, facilitate happiness, give and receive feedback and foster togetherness within the hotels and in all interactions with the support office
  • Ensure that all areas of the hotel including rooms, living rooms, canteenM, coffeeM, societyM and cloudM are presented in a manner consistent to the citizenM brand standards
  • Work with the Food and Beverage team to develop and deliver an exceptional food and beverage proposition relevant to the local requirements of each property
  • Collaborate with strategic third parties within areas such as housekeeping, maintenance, food and beverage, finance, tech, IT and human resources to ensure the best interests of citizenM are maintained at all times
  • Seek opportunities to generate further revenue while providing added value to our guests and well being of our team.
  • Oversee the management of Food and Beverage revenue targets and drive commitment to monthly results
  • Monitor and take action to ensure that the purchasing of food and beverage and hotel operating equipment is in line with budget
  • Maintain costs including payroll, operation cost and property in line with budget
  • Be responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of payroll, cash management and human resource administration in each property
  • Budgeting Payroll for the given area. Influencing on F&B, housekeeping and operating cost. No direct influence on revenue
  • Maintain all relevant licenses required for the safe and ongoing operation of the hotels
  • Work alongside citizenM’s health and safety partner/s to ensure each property complies with relevant local health and safety legislation; adhering to the health and safety policy whilst maintaining accurate records of relevant activities
  • Through the provision of regular training, ensure a working understanding by the hotel teams of legislation that governs the operation of a hotel and its activities; including employment law, health and safety, food safety, alcohol licensing, first aid and fire safety
  • Undertake any other reasonable management request
