At Schools Plus, we specialise in managing the lettings of school facilities, helping schools generate additional revenue by making their spaces available to the local community during evenings, weekends, and school holidays. As we continue to expand, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Area Manager to join our team and take full operational control of our sites in South Central London.

Previous experience in an Area Manager role or equivalent is essential.
Proven experience in staff management, including training, and motivation.
A track record of delivering operational excellence and ensuring compliance.
Ability to identify and implement process improvements and growth strategies.
Excellent relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple sites, ensuring smooth operations, maintaining high standards of customer service, and managing a team to deliver operational excellence. You will be expected to conduct regular site visits, coach and support staff, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Each site will have a Team Leader reporting directly to you, along with a team of Site Supervisors who manage day-to-day operations. You will play a key role in mentoring your team, maintaining strong relationships with school representatives, and driving the growth of our business.
This full-time role requires on-site presence at least four days a week and travel between locations within your assigned area. You will have the flexibility to set your own work schedule based on the needs of the schools and your responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Take full operational control of multiple sites in your designated area.
Conduct regular site visits to provide leadership, coaching, and support to your teams.
Ensure compliance with all operational, safeguarding, security, and HR requirements.
Drive business growth by identifying and implementing improvement opportunities.
Oversee staff training, and performance management.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with school staff, clients, colleagues, and customers.
Work on-site during peak operational hours, including evenings and weekends (at least two full weekends per month).
Maintain accountability for health, safety, and security standards across all locations.
