Description:

£25K - £35K BASE + OTE + COMPANY CAR + EXCELLENT BENEFITS

We’re seeking a proactive “hunter” to join our Materials Handling team. Like any sales role, the more effort you put in, the more rewards you’ll see. This role would suit someone who’s not afraid to pick up the phone or get out there to meet new people! We’ll provide all the training you need on our company and products—your job is to take that knowledge and share it with the market. As the Area Sales Executive, you’ll be responsible for identifying and securing both long- and short-term rentals of our forklift trucks, as well as promoting other products and services within the Midlands region.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with other Group Area Sales Executives in the designated region with the objective of maintaining a high level of forklift truck utilisation within our fleet.
  • Maintaining regular contact with the Field Sales Manager and Area Sales Executives to ensure that sales efforts are directed in accordance with company sales plans.
  • Acting upon their own initiative in researching information on potential customers through sightings, trade publications, historical data, past contracts, customer database, industry knowledge, monitoring customers usage/business changes and own contacts.
  • Making appointments to visit key potential customers, keeping accurate sales records of follow up visits and current business situation on our sales information database (SID).
  • Credit-checking and cold-calling on companies who run their own or competitor equipment, but who have never purchased or rented from us.
  • Following-up enquiries for new rental & purchase opportunities in a timely fashion.
  • Maintaining a constant awareness of opportunities to sell both new & second-hand equipment and negotiate prices accordingly.
  • Visiting existing customers each quarter to build long-standing business relationships and maximise potential business opportunities.
  • Keeping in close contact with branch activities regarding new business or customer complaints, helping where necessary.
  • Ability to present our “Smarter Asset Strategy” message to customers and generate leads for the wider Group businesses.
