Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Area Sales Manager - Asia is responsible for identifying and developing opportunities and securing commercial targets in the region in collaboration with the Sales & Solution Consulting team, for the ASEAN market.
They will focus to identifying and qualifying deals and downstream channel partners to build a strong foundation and grow Kapsch market share in Asia.

MAIN TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES

As appropriate, the role will be responsible for the following indicative and non-exhaustive activities.

  • Prospecting and business development through forming new relationships in the region, especially with decision makers to drive new leads for qualifying;
  • Generate the Sales pipeline of qualified new business, mature prospects and develop budget plans for all Sales activity within the Asia region;
  • Opportunity owner for all Asia sales prospects and owns the end to end sales process from acquiring through to closing through strategic planning and management of prospects.
  • Preserve existing customers and relationships;
  • Expand existing customer relationships with portfolio verticals;
  • Develop a sales and BD plan including strong partnering and collaboration with regional partners;
  • Lead the identification of potential partners and channels in the region working closely with system integrators and value-added resellers to prepare the point of sale;
  • Articulate technical sales presentations for clients showing the success and credibility of the business and the product portfolio;
  • Drive sales campaigns and marketing initiatives and work with the Solution Consulting team to identify regional appropriate solutions;
  • Clarify technical feasibility of solution with responsible business units;
  • With the Bid & Proposal Management team, support hand-overs for projects to Delivery and Operations team;
  • Attend industry events, functions and conferences to enhance our brand awareness in the region and contribute to market intelligence building a strong network of relationships;
