Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for a candidate to assist our Lexus Sales department. This is a full-time opportunity and will report to the Manager of Lexus Sales. The successful candidate will be accountable for meeting key Lexus sales KPIs and bolster the Lexus brand image by partnering with the Lexus Dealers in the assigned territory. This person will act as the face of Lexus to the Lexus Dealer network.

What You’ll be Doing:
- Provide direction and consultation to Lexus Dealers across variable operations (new, pre-owned, business office, marketing) in the pursuit of shared goals
- Aid in Lexus Brand representation in Lexus Dealer Market Areas
- Frequent communication with Dealer Principal and all Dealership management and assisting Lexus Dealer staff
- Collect and disseminate feedback and market intel back to Lexus Management
- Collaborate with Area Parts & Service Managers, Regional Marketing Managers, Regional Experience Manager to ensure a 360 approach to dealer operations consultation and accountabilities
- Interact with multiple TCI departments including Sales and Inventory Planning, Lexus Product Planning, DSSO, Accessories Development, Lexus Customer Retention etc. on an ongoing basis
- Leverage your dealership operations knowledge to help develop Guest-centric solutions for Lexus Dealers in assigned territory that help the achievement of shared sales objectives
- Assist with the distribution and allocation of Lexus special editions, Hybrid vehicles and supplemental as required
- Provide insightful evaluation and action items or focus areas for dealers around new vehicle sales and supply
- Assist Lexus Dealers in the evaluation of their market area by providing valuable insights to help direct the development of their marketing initiatives and strategies
- Ensure achievement of monthly Lexus objectives and target achievement at key Industry reporting day (20 Day, Month End)
- Maintain Lexus Dealer performance through consistent and documented Dealer contacts (in-person and virtual). Develop recommendations, actions plans and strategies in collaboration with Lexus dealership management
- Initiate and implement appropriate ‘Kaizen’ (continuous improvement) efforts which result in work efficiencies relating to cost reduction or avoidance, improved time and process efficiencies
- Evaluate and implement performance standards through the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Share proven best practices among the Lexus sales team or broader Lexus Division through ‘Yokoten’ (shares best practices); Aim to continuously improve through effective investigation and evaluation
This role requires periodic extended working hours (i.e. Month End), frequent travel, and requires a valid driver’s license.
What You’ll Bring:
- University degree or college diploma in Business/Automotive Marketing, or in a related discipline with equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of automotive experience
- Experience in a combination of the following areas is preferred: Product Planning, Sales & Inventory Planning, Dealer Development, Pre-Owned, National Sales and Marketing
- Prior field experience or exposure to Dealership sales operations is an asset
- Strong product knowledge is preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation techniques
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation experience to balance both the needs of Dealers and TCI Corporate objectives
- Capacity to professionally maintain productive relationships with stakeholders
- Knowledge of how to be proactive and continuously develop customer-centric solutions for Dealers in the face of adversity
- Self-starter, organized person who maintains time effectively
- Strong methodical and critical thinking
- Aptitude to perform in a high priority, stimulating environment
- Knowledge of how to handle opposition in a professional manner while still maintaining productive relationships with stakeholders
- Demonstrated knowledge of PDCA and Toyota Business Practices (TBP)
