We provide a one-stop solution for delivery requirements ranging, from small parcels to pallets, through our trusted network of carrier partners.

WHY JOIN US NOW?

It’s an exciting time to join Tuffnells as we have ambitious plans to scale rapidly in Q4 and into 2025. We are growing fast and looking for driven individuals who want to be part of this journey. As an Area Sales Manager, you’ll have progression opportunities to build and manage your own local sales support team, including SDRs (Sales Development Representatives) and Sales Administrators. If you’re looking to shape the future of logistics in the UK, this is your chance.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Experience in the logistics, parcels, or freight industry (preferred)
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, always looking for new opportunities
  • Leadership potential with an interest in managing teams (optional)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team

Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition: Engage with prospects to present Tuffnells’ unique logistics solutions, focusing on their specific needs and demonstrating how our platform offers them control and convenience
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong, long-term partnerships with customers, ensuring that they receive personalised service and have the tools they need to succeed. Act as their trusted logistics advisor
  • Sales Campaigns: Collaborate directly with the Commercial Director to support the development and execution of local sales campaigns, helping to tailor strategies for specific regions and target markets
  • Onboarding & Customer Support: Lead the customer onboarding process, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. Support new clients through initial setup, providing guidance on how to fully utilise our platform and services
  • Customer Expansion: Develop opportunities to upsell and cross-sell services, ensuring clients fully utilise the range of services available through our platform
  • Innovation & Problem Solving: Work closely with clients to identify pain points in their logistics processes and offer tailored solutions. Proactively suggest improvements and new services based on customer feedback
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Maintain an up-to-date pipeline using our sales CRMs, providing accurate profiles and insights. Share progress in regular team meetings, identifying successes and areas for improvement
  • Team Leadership Potential: As you progress in the role, recruit and lead your own local sales support team (SDRs and Sales Administrators), developing a robust structure to support business growth in your area
