POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced water treatment professional, holding a full-time position as an Area Service Manager in the Chicagoland area of Illinois. The ASM will lead a team of 4-7 Service Engineers/Water Quality Engineers responsible for providing excellent service to commercial and industrial customers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with engineering, chemistry, water treatment or related areas.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of current/prior working experience in water treatment or related field is required.
  • Relevant managerial experience is required
  • College degree in a science related field is required
  • CWT Certification is preferred
  • Candidate must have strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work independently, be trustworthy and be self-motivated.
  • Must pass a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE), Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and Drug Screening
  • Must be able to communicate in English and ability to read proficiently in English
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must currently be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities:

LMA – LEADERSHIP, MANAGEMENT, & ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Lead designated service team using the EOS Model
  • Manage individuals by holding employees accountable for responsibilities in their designation seat definition. Provide consistent performance feedback on review schedule, coaching, and correction if individual performance drops
  • Assess the capacity of the team to meet service demands, advise on where and when to hire new Water Quality Engineers and/or Service Engineers, and use the HR Core Process with HR to hire new employees
  • Training: provide the team with the necessary tools and training required to do their jobs effectively
