Responsibilities:
- Develop robust and scalable reference architecture and technical security designs (“blueprints” and requirements) for public and hybrid cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain security architecture artifacts (e.g., models, templates, standards) that can be used to leverage security capabilities in projects and operations.
- Act as a technical lead in the implementation and configuration of cloud security solutions, including identity and access management, encryption, security monitoring tools and incident response, among others.
- Lead the design and incorporation of the principles of segmentation, micro-segmentation and “zero trust” in cloud infrastructure, ensuring its integration with existing systems and processes.
- Define security elements in containers (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker).
- Design and promote secure practices for automation and orchestration tools (e.g. Terraform).
- Define capabilities and design controls for cloud protection, such as firewalls (application and network), balancers, gateways, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IPS), VPNs, encryption in transit and at rest (integrations and repositories), tools monitoring, etc.
- Collaborate with project teams, development, IT, and other areas and business units to ensure cloud security solutions meet organizational needs.
- Perform technical risk assessments and gap analysis in cloud security controls and architectures.
