To facilitate this transformation, a Culture & Creative Centre of Excellence (C&C CoE) has been established at the Group level. This entity will play a crucial role in supporting the global brand teams, ensuring that creativity and cultural insight are at the forefront of our brand development strategies.
The Absolut Group (TAG) is the Brand Company of Pernod Ricard that stewards a diverse portfolio of 12 brands spanning six distinct categories: vodka, flavoured rum, liqueur, gins, tequila, and mezcal. The TAG brands range from global icons like Absolut to smaller, artisanal craft brands. Our ambition is to become the most dynamic, global powerhouse of lifestyle spirits brands. At the heart of TAG lies a genuine passion for progress, creativity, and contemporary culture, driving us to challenge the conventional boundaries of the spirits industry.
TAG is introducing the brand new role of Art Director, who will act as the relay of the global Culture & Creative Centre of Excellence within the TAG organization, reporting to the CEO.
Responsibilities:
The main purpose of this new position is to create a competitive and long term (sustainable) advantage for our brands, by ensuring a distinctive, coherent, contemporary, consistent and commercially viable design ethos for each of our brands, and their respective ecosystems, from product packaging to omnichannel communication.
Leveraging your strong background in design and visual expression, as Art Director you should act as a guardian of the brands’ timelessness while infusing a fresh, creative breath. You will play a critical role in shaping and maintaining the visual identity and expressiveness of our brands over time, across geographies, and throughout all consumer touchpoints.
Coming into this role you will enable direct engagement with top creative talents, bringing in design expertise by determining the most relevant partner (agency, freelancer, creative, designer…) for each creative project.
In this role you will responsible for:
Navigating across our full TAG portfolio, while focusing more specifically on five strategic brands: Absolut, Malibu, Kahlua, Beefeater and Altos.
- Design Vision: Develop and communicate the global design vision for TAG brands, well rooted in brand DNAs; maintain this vision over time.
- Guardian of Brands’ Look & Feel: Uphold the visual essence of our brands across all touchpoints, ensuring consistency and alignment.
- Integration & implementation: Forge strong partnerships with TAG brand teams and with key markets to ensure the cohesive design direction is effectively implemented for each brand, centrally and locally.
- Creative Partnerships: Seek and establish relationships with external creative talents to enhance the brand’s visual output (designers, illustrators, photographers, and other creative professionals).
- Cost Efficiency: Support TAG brand teams to optimize creative processes (cost & time) by reducing dependency on intermediaries, leveraging direct collaborations with key talents and internalizing tasks when feasible.
- Project Execution: Work hand in hand with TAG brand teams to ensure the timely and within-budget execution of design projects, until final production, maintaining a high standard of quality and consistency across all deliverables.
- Upskilling: Train and coach TAG Marketing organization in design strategy and execution
