We are planning an inspirational year of culture where every corner of Wandsworth comes alive in an explosion of creativity. You can expect large scale dance events, a mass choral spectacular and a disability arts festival, as well as sector development initiatives such as Culturally Mindful, aimed at diversifying the creative health workforce and social prescribing offer in the borough.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Excellent project management and organisational skills (project management qualification is not required but experience is essential).
- Understanding of the specific access needs and challenges of disabled, d/Deaf and neurodivergent people as well as those affected by long-term health conditions.
- Experience of supporting arts projects led by disabled and ethnically diverse artists and community groups.
- Strong communications skills and awareness of alternative communication techniques.
- IT literacy, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams and accessibility technology.
- Fundraising experience would be a bonus.

Responsibilities:
As an LBoC Support Officer with a focus on Diversity, Access and Inclusion, you will work with the award-winning Arts & Culture Service to develop, deliver and monitor a range of ambitious, diverse and inclusive programmes as part of our London Borough of Culture year. Your support will be crucial to the Programme and Partnership Manager, who you will help to lead on diversity, access and inclusion.
Your workload will be very diverse as you will work on arts projects ranging from programme commissioning and grants support to advocacy work and the highly regarded, disability-led, Liberty Festival. You will be working with artists, community groups, culture professionals and an array of Council departments towards one common goal: to ensure that our London Borough of Culture year is as diverse, accessible and inclusive as possible.
