We are currently looking for a AS400 developer to work for an insurance industry project.

NECESSARY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3-5 years of experience in application development and maintenance using RPG/LE and SDA on the AS/400 platform.
• Strong understanding of AS/400 architecture, system administration concepts, and security protocols.
• Solid foundation in RPG programming including file I/O, subroutines, and data structures.
• Experience with SDA screen design and development principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A passion for maintaining legacy systems and keeping them operational.
• A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies for potential AS/400 modernization efforts.
• English Level: Upper intermediate.

WHAT YOU´LL DO

You´ll be in charge of helping one of the insurance most important companies worldwide to provide support and improve their internal applications ecosystem.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain applications on the AS400 platform using RPGLE and CLP, for Latam applications.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues related to existing applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document technical and functional requirements.
• Perform testing and quality assurance of developed software.
• Provide UAT support to end users.
• Keep up to date with the latest technologies and best practices in AS400 development.
