Description:
As an Asian Chef at our client’s hotel, you will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to develop and execute Asian-inspired menus that reflect both creativity and authenticity. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, maintaining efficiency and teamwork while upholding the hotel’s commitment to outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a wide variety of Asian dishes, ensuring authenticity and quality.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and develop Asian menus.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards.
Train and mentor kitchen staff on Asian cooking techniques and menu items.
Monitor inventory and manage food costs effectively.
Ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
Proficiency in preparing a variety of Asian dishes, with a focus on authenticity.
Knowledge of traditional Asian cooking techniques and ingredients.
Previous experience as an Asian Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
Asian origin preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and presentation skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Customer service-oriented mindset.
Work Hours: 176 hours per month - Shifts to be advised
Salary: R16,000 per month
