ABOUT THE ROLE:
As part of the education eco-system, Skills SA connects industries, employers and training providers with South Australians. Our services improve the education and development outcomes for children right through to their transition to adulthood, reflecting our commitment to support every child towards their aspirations. Working with a broad range of stakeholders, Skills SA plays an important role by:
- Matching the state’s current and anticipated employment demands with training
- Ensuring employers can access workers with skills required to run and grow their business
- Ensuring South Australians can get the quality training that will help them find a job and build a career.
As the Quality and Compliance Officer, you will join the Contract Quality and Compliance Team based in Adelaide and play an important role in the quality and integrity of South Australia’s publicly funded vocational education and training market. You will work with a range of stakeholders, including private registered training organisations, to assess and monitor the provision of vocational education and training services including to support and assist providers to be compliant with their contractual obligations and appropriate use of public funds.
You will also be responsible for the quality, accessible and relevant vocational education and training eco-system by ensuring an efficient and effective quality assessment and contract compliance function, including:
- Providing specialist advice on compliance and claim and payment business processes and systems.
- Providing information and advice to key stakeholders including registered training organisations and other service providers
- Planning and implementing audit procedures which support quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
To succeed in the role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Knowledge of state and national vocational education and training systems and structures and training products.
- Good knowledge of quality systems, assessment / auditing principles and practices and continuous improvement.
- Experience in undertaking high level research and analysis, including evaluating and applying information from a range of sources to make assessment
