Asphalt Manufacturing Plant Operator

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Asphalt Plant Manufacturing Operator to join our team based in Christchurch. This position will involve operating a batch process plant, where you will primarily be responsible for the manufacturing/production of asphalt as well as the loading process from the silos.
Ideally, you will have previous experience in the operation and maintenance of an asphalt manufacturing plant, however experience in any plant operations will be considered.

You will be responsible for:

• Operating Asphalt Plant to manufacture Asphalt
• Operating Loader
• Carry out routine plant maintenance
• Customer service both over the phone and face-to-face

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

• A good knowledge and understanding of asphalt products would be an advantage.
• A good level of communication skills.
• A mechanical and technical background would be a definite advantage.
• A full driving licence with Class 2 & WTR endorsements, a Forklift endorsement would be an advantage.
• A can-do attitude, willingness to learn, and an ability to work with others is required.
• Flexibility to hours – Shift work – Monday – Sunday, including night shifts.
• Being a leader in safe working practices is mandatory.
