Asphalt Plant Operator

DESCRIPTION

The Higgins Team in Taupō are currently looking for a Plant Operator to join the team at the asphalt plant. You will be part of a team of 3 that manufacture up to 1700 tonnes of Asphalt per month and aiming to increase production.
We are open to receiving applications from experienced industry professionals or those with a manufacturing background, looking to enter into civil manufacturing.

• Prior plant operating experience is highly sought after, other relevant plant operating experience will be considered e.g. concrete plant
• Prior mechanical experience advantageous e.g heavy diesel mechanic/plant maintenance
• Prior manufacturing experience is sought after
• Ability to work a roster of days and nights (Night shift as required)
• Class 1 licence essential - WTR and Class 2 sought after but we can support you to gain these
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required
• Strong track record of commitment to health and safety
