BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • 3 years of prior experience working in a manufacturing/rework role
  • Surface mount and thru hole hand soldering and assembling capabilities.
  • Lead free soldering experience
  • Knowledge of Metcal or Hakko equipment
  • Knowledge and experience with digital multi-meters
  • Must have a high level of mechanical aptitude and the ability to work under a microscope to inspect their work.
  • English writing and reading (A2 Level) (required).
  • Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader, understanding BOMs, Revision controls, ECN’s.
  • Knowledge of 5S practices
  • Good communication skills
  • Teamwork attitude and results-oriented
  • Flexibility to work schedules according to business needs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in electronics or equivalent experience (desired)
  • IPC soldering training and/or IPC-7711B/7721B/610 certified (desired)
  • Knowledge of BGA machine operation
  • English Speaking
  • Travel availability

EDUCATION

  • High School/Trade School
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will be responsible for modifications, reworks and repairs of electrical components assemblies and complex modules by interpreting schematic diagrams, process sheets, and technical drawing packages or other specifications
  • Uses standard and some non-standard soldering tools on multi-layer PCB’s
  • Perform incoming inspection for all products
  • Perform mechanical assembly and disassembly on PCB’s
  • Check for physical and mechanical defects in the product and correct them
  • Perform modification work to circuit boards including trace cuts and adding jumpers
  • Requires manual dexterity with fine motor skills along with high visual acuity
  • Must be able to identify components
  • Ability to work in a high detail work environment
  • Maintain ESD Integrity within production environment
  • Perform cleaning process of PCB’s and modules (HLA & LLA)
  • Operate BGA rework machine to place components according to IPC standards
  • Operate Washing machine and oven to clean PCBs according to IPC standards
  • Operate a Nikon X-Ray machine to verify reworks meet IPC
  • Must be able to record in databases the information of the actions performed
  • Reworking PCB’s by applying ECN’s and Deviations
  • Inventory control of rework consumables
  • Performs other duties as assigned
