Role Overview:
The Otis Service Center Assembly Department is looking for a Department Supervisor. This position will support and work closely with cross functional departments and the Operation Manufacturing Manager. Specifically, you will ensure that the department process and workflow are adhered to by department personnel.
On a typical day you will:

The Assembly Supervisor oversees all tasks associated with process flow, process management, and financial accuracy related to Assembly. This position will perform evaluations, coach with career development, on time shipments, and reducing backorders. This position requires great attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn on the job in a fast-paced, high-quality production environment. Salary and benefits commensurate with work experience. The individual in this position will perform the following functions:

  • Support and oversee the daily Assembly Department operations
  • Prioritize workflow and assign daily task in accordance with OSC Operations Management.
  • Responsible for on time delivery rates for each of the department key product lines.
  • Must comply and train associates with all EH&S policies and procedures and the Otis Absolutes.
  • Able to accommodate changes in production and work schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Proactively identify and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Follows safety rules, practices, and other safety requirements for all projects.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Will be organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactively identify and actively participate in OPXL continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ability to participate as a Team Lead in annual physical inventory.
  • All personnel may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as required.

What You Will Need to be Successful:

  • BS in Engineering Technology or BS in Business Management
  • Or 3-5 years of related work experience and/or specialized training.
