QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Mechanic
  • Understanding of hydraulic systems and ability to correctly identify hydraulic fittings
  • Proven experience with assembly in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Competent general mechanic skills required, including the ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Previous experience working with tree harvesters a strong asset, but not required
  • Must have high attention to detail and care about quality workmanship
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment required

WAGE NEGOTIABLE BASED ON PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSET.

Experience:

  • Hydraulics: 1 year (preferred)
  • mechanical assembly: 2 years (preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and assembly of sub-components of hydraulic tree processors in a safe and organized manner.
  • Installation of sub-components into the processor head to complete the full assembly of the machine
  • Support testing the processor once the build is complete
  • Mount processors onto shipping frames and complete final inspections
  • Daily shop organization, maintain tools, jigs, equipment, and materials in excellent working order
  • Report to the Lead Mechanic for other tasks, reporting and guidance.
  • Contribute constant improvement ideas for better workflow, efficiency, and performance results
  • Assist to maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
