Job objectives and responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversee all the asset collection team daily operations.
- Manage and continuously develop the asset collection strategy and quality of service.
- Effective strategic planning of a wide and varied team of remote asset surveyors to always ensure operational efficiency.
- Support existing Mitie contracts with estate change offering Asset Care services and support.
- Identification of resource requirement, procurement and forward planning to manage demand.
- Preparation of monthly accounts including all invoicing, revenue recognition and cost summary, along with providing assistance to senior management with financial statements.
- Oversight and manage budgets of all asset collection projects undertaken by asset care team.
- Owner of asset collection procedures, pricing and communication.
- Development asset care commercial offering to include and support sales presentations, marketing and client satisfaction.
- Engage with Mitie bid teams to ensure accurate pricing and description of asset care offering is included within all tender submissions.
- Develop and increase the profile of Asset Care within Technical division, in conjunction with senior management team and supporting the Head of Asset Care.
- Enforcement and management of mitie QHSE processes to ensure compliance and health and safety are adhered to by the team. Including lone working procedures installed.
- Owner of the management of Asset collection policy and procedures.
- Ensuring that the asset detail is complete and accurate to both operational policy and contractual compliance.
- Continuously develop technology to aid the asset collection delivery.
- Develop the customer handover experience of all projects.
- Enhance and develop the scoping, methodology and surveyors brief for projects.
- Collaborate with Asset Care Leads to identify improvements and developments for existing or new ways of working.
- Continuously Develop the quality the quality control process and reduce timeframes to a minimum.
- Introduce and explore AI Technology to support the asset collection process efficiency.
Main duties
- Day to day management of the asset collection team function.
- Provide Technical support, delivering asset management solutions and visible support to the business management teams.
- Ensure accurate financial governance of the asset collection team tracking and reporting to finance teams.
- Lead by example with regards to health and safety, compliance with statutory and contractual legislative requirements.
- Preparation and delivery of project, reporting as required by Head of Asset Care, project manager, contracts team and clients to be managed.
- Preparation and governance of all project proposals and scopes in good time.
- Engagement with key stakeholders to ensure all contractual obligations regarding asset care are met within the asset collection scopes and can subsequently be delivered.
- Oversight of all projects and collaboration with other Asset Care teams for consistent service delivery.
- Maintain and development the sales and project pipeline.
- Manage and control third party asset survey companies.
- Manage and control third party asset surveyors as required for project pipeline.
- Training reviews and development plans to be installed with internal surveyors.
- Oversee the efficiency and effectiveness of the quality control process within the asset collection data. Management of on and off site audit process of the data quality.
- Health and Safety and relevant training is always up to date for the team.
- Manage key stakeholders for Asset Collection with project statuses and escalations.
- Develop plans, objective setting and training of the asset collection management team.
- Manage the team to understand and meet expectations and standards within projects e.g. comms, time, risks, reporting, processes etc.

Essential Competencies

- Project Management/Construction Management qualification.
- Extensive knowledge of asset management and maintenance operation.

- Technical Experience including Critical environment understanding
- Understanding of ISO55001
- Use of software’s such a Maximo & Power BI.
