Job description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Asset Engineer based in Aberdeen.
You will be required to have a demonstratable knowledge of ROV systems both technically and operationally, be dynamic and ambitious and be able to communicate both internally and externally at all levels.
Responsibilities:
- Review ROV system readiness and current status in conjunction with Project Managers and Technical Manager.
- Support planned and ongoing live operations in conjunction with Project teams.
- Liaise closely with the Engineering department regarding engineering support required.
- Ensure that Commercial teams are given advice regarding asset capabilities in support of tender and proposal development.
- Review maintenance records for assets, track equipment failures, noting any trends to identify problem areas for further investigation and improvement.
- Monitor and control the asset R&M budgets, along with CAPEX applications for investment.
- Provide technical support to offshore and onshore teams as well as liaise with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Liaise with innovation teams in terms of system improvements and new solutions.
Essential Experience
- Previous experience in the offshore ROV industry.
- Strong experience of hydraulics, mechanics, electronics (incl. high voltage).
- Educated to HNC/HND Level or equivalent completed apprenticeship in a relevant discipline.
- High attention to detail with analytic and problem-solving skills.
