Responsibilities:

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate and conduct on-site assessments.
  • Discuss with client’s project objectives, milestones, scopes of work and in some cases, Rimkus pricing.
  • Completion of written assessments within Rimkus standards.
  • Prepare leak investigation reports, condition assessments, and analysis reports.
  • Tracking completed assessments for the purpose of following up on recommendations with clients.
  • Creation and completion of client asset tracker for buildings, components, and assets.
  • Store and manage these on a yearly basis to aid clients with yearly expenditures.
  • Coordinate and conduct pre-bid, pre-start, progress, and final project site meetings.
  • Coordinate the resolution of any problems identified in the field including:
  • Clarifying details.
  • Preparing new details for unique conditions.
  • Coordinating the drafting of new details, if required
  • Coordinating design meetings if required to clarify design issues.
  • Issuing Addenda, Field Orders, Contemplated Change Orders and Change Orders.
  • Participate in design review meetings for roofing, waterproofing and building envelope.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturers to resolve material performance and warranty issues.
  • Coordinate with OIRCA for warranty inspections and administration.
  • Coach, train and mentor field inspection personnel as required to ensure their work is performed in accordance with Rimkus standards.
  • Assist with business development by identifying business opportunities, developing client relationships, and preparing fee proposals.

Field Work

  • Accessing roof top surfaces as required.
  • Collect field data including measuring, drawing, core-cuts, identifying deficiencies, photography, and clean-up, etc.
  • Conduct water leakage testing in order to determine cause and effect and prepare report.
  • Responsible for the retrieval of information and preparation of roofing analysis reports.
  • Assist with Building Envelope field investigation work.
  • Conduct thermography testing, if required.

Specifications

  • Assist with the compilation of both field and report data in order to prepare specification documents.
  • Review drawings and specifications prepared by others to verify that the scope of work is sufficient and to ensure that all required details, materials, methods, etc. are correctly specified.

Quality Observations

  • Perform Quality Observations of work in progress to ensure compliance with tender documents and applicable codes and standards.
  • Obtain and maintain Registered Roof Observer (RRO) designation.

Other Duties

  • Maintain computer skills as required to perform duties.
  • Minor travel to project sites as required.
  • General office duties including photocopying, faxing, filing, etc. as required.
  • Assist with the compilation of written reports as required.
  • Keep abreast of current trends in the industry to ensure professional development.
  • Other work-related duties as required.
