We are seeking an Asset Protection Lead to join our showroom team in Vaughan. This role is crucial in promoting and ensuring the safety and security of our employees and business. The Asset Protection Associate will be responsible for developing policies to reduce shrink, implementing proactive and reactive measures, and providing education on safety and risk mitigation.
Reporting directly to the Showroom Manager and General Manager, the Asset Protection Associate will work on the showroom floor, maintaining a professional presence and collaborating with the showroom team. Key duties include interacting with customers and associates, educating teams on safety measures, best practices, and loss reduction efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3-5 years asset protection / loss prevention experience in a retail environment
- Satisfy all licensing requirements, such as a security license.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, interviewing, listening and interpersonal skills
- Experience completing investigations, completing interviews, compiling notes and corresponding evidence.
- Ability to maintain composure in high pressure situations.
This role requires a proactive approach to security, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams.

Responsibilities:
- Understand and communicate Asset Protection policies and procedures.
- Implement strategies to prevent theft, fraud, and loss, including monitoring surveillance systems, conducting audits, and analyzing loss trends.
- Respond promptly to incidents of theft, vandalism, or security breaches, taking appropriate action, documenting incidents, and collaborating with law enforcement as needed.
- Partner with Human Resources and management to develop and support policies and educational initiatives.
- Collaborate with Store Management to train the team on processes and incident management, including training as part of onboarding new hires, increasing awareness.
- Promote a culture of security awareness among employees through both formal (meetings) and informal communication.
- Deter, detect, and address theft and fraud in the showroom.
- Coordinate with departments like loss prevention, human resources, and law enforcement to resolve security issues and develop security strategies.
- Prepare reports relative to any theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigation and audits.
- Conduct internal investigations, compile evidence, and present findings.
- Identify potential shrinkage opportunities within operational processes and the physical location..
- Conduct store audits, checklists and safety inspections. Communicate findings to store leadership.
- Maintain a positive customer service attitude while addressing security-related inquiries professionally.
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable service to customers, as required.
- Be available to work various shifts, including a 40-hour work week.
