Position: Asset Reliability Lead
Reporting to: Process & Asset Reliability Manager
Location: Leeds, UK

Job Position Summary
Oversee daily operations and coordination of the asset reliability function, including maintenance and calibration teams. Ensure optimal performance and reliability of production assets while complying with safety regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet strategic goals and enhance equipment efficiency.
The responsibilities & the impact you will have:

- Work with management to establish asset reliability and maintenance objectives.
- Lead preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and calibration activities.
- Supports the implementation of asset reliability, capital investment and plant strategic initiatives.
- Assists with coordination of processes and assignments for asset reliability, maintenance engineering and asset calibration activities to ensure the delivery of consistent maintenance programs and engineering repair projects.
- Leads the implementation of preventive maintenance programs, equipment repairs, equipment calibration and maintenance engineering projects that contribute to the optimization and increased productivity of the organization’s manufacturing facilities and equipment.
- Devises risk assessments and provides input regarding the integration and utilization of new equipment and machinery by conducting engineering reviews of proposed equipment to assess reliability, maintenance costs, calibration activities and identifying unknown safety risks.
- Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within expected standards and agreed timelines.
- Conduct risk assessments for new equipment integration.
- Manage team performance, workflow, and compliance with standards.
- Attend daily Value Stream meetings to address operational actions.
- Collaborate with departments to position the plant as a Best-in-Class facility.
- Actively participate in and/or lead Joints Network Engineering and Technical Services initiatives.
- Develop budget and provide financial updates related to maintenance.
- Supervise team performance and identify training needs.
- Participate in engineering initiatives and support capacity increase projects.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
We would love to hear from you, if you have the following requirements:
Essential:
- Degree in Engineering or Science; 4-5 years in Maintenance/Operations roles.
- Experience in process engineering and asset reliability.
- Proven leadership and decision-making skills.
Desirable:
- Experience in medical devices or regulated manufacturing.
- echnical experience in furnace/poro-coat process, CNC machining, calibration, clean room environment and packaging processes (for Leeds role)
- Knowledge of relevant technical processes and regulations.
