Position: Asset Reliability Manager
Reporting to: Reporting to Senior Manager, Make Asset Management (MAM) part of Technical Operations (Joints MedTech)
Location: Cork (onsite role)
Contract: Full Time/Permanent

Job Position Summary
Lead the Maintenance Engineering function within budget and to plan, thereby creating a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant at DePuy using best practice technologies and latest / breakthrough technologies.
The responsibilities & the impact you will have:
- Embed Quality First, Safety Always Culture
- Leads all aspects of technical execution of projects.
- Provides comprehensive technical advice.
- Facilitates resolution of complex technical and operational problems.
- Promotes innovation initiatives for new products and ideas.
- Work with Manager to develop and implement strategic engineering Goals & Objectives.
- Support the implementation of all maintenance and plant critical initiatives.
- Provide leadership within the Engineering and Technical Services functions that will deliver outstanding business results in-line with objectives.
- Reviews and approves technical documentation to verify compliance to technical specifications and standards.
- Communicates with internal (manufacturing, quality, engineering) and external partners to coordinate and implement project plans.
- Assigns tasks according to projected scopes including compliance and quality improvement, cost reduction, cycle time reduction, capacity increase, raw material qualification, and launch preparation.
- Ensures implementation of multiple new product development plans and programs for the business unit.
- Monitors smooth execution of projects at lower levels and multi-functional.
- Allocates accurate level of resources to facilitate attainment of project goals within established timelines and budgets.
- Ensures departmental and company compliance with all local government and company regulations, policies and procedures for health, safety and environmental compliance.
Responsibility for others and internal interactions
- Team Structure of Maintenance TL’s, Reliability Engineers and Technicians
- Matrix Organisation where there is significant focus on Multi-Functional Teamwork to enable delivery of site wide goals.
- Work as a strategic partner with all other departments to develop DePuy as an outstanding orthopaedics plant and a flagship company within J&J.
External interactions
- MRO interactions and holding vendors accountable to ensure consistent delivery across Safety, Quality, Service and Value Creation site requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
We would love to hear from you, if you have the following requirements:
- Level 8 Degree Qualified in a Science or Engineering discipline
- Minimum of 5 Years Maintenance experience desirable.
Required knowledge, skills, abilities, certification/licenses
- Knowledge of Maintenance Processes
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with senior partners and employees
- Ability to coach and mentor others to succeed
- Strong Process and Maintenance Engineering skills
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of the Company’s strategic imperatives / objectives.
- Develop and implement the Make Asset Management functions strategic imperatives in-line with the Plant strategic imperatives / objectives.
