Purpose
As our Assistant Accountant, you won’t simply be crunching numbers; you will be an essential member of our dynamic team, ready to roll up your sleeves and expertly manage the daily accounting and reporting responsibilities for a cluster of properties within the Accor Apartments & Realty portfolio.

The Role

  • Primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional hours outside of regular schedule, compensated with days off in lieu
  • $30 Per hour, Full Time role offer 40 hours per week
  • Potential for flexible working arrangements following completion of a successful induction period
  • Work as part of a collective team to provide shared service finance support to a number of hotels
  • This position is ideal for a highly competent assistant accountant seeking to advance their career

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monthly coordination and preparation of profit and loss and balance sheet financial statements, ensuring adherence to reporting deadlines
  • Managing the accounts receivable function, encompassing invoicing and remittance
  • Handle day-to-day finance administration tasks, contributing to the smooth running of the department
  • Perform daily reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
  • Facilitate bank transfers and process refunds efficiently
  • Ensure all balance sheets are reconciled accurately and timely
  • Raise monthly invoices and secure timely collection of aged debt
  • Work with properties to ensure adherence to prescribed financial procedures and processes
  • Perform any additional duties as directed by the Management Accountant, supporting the broader finance team
  • Prepare accurate reports for management

Skills and Experience

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, whilst pursuing a CA/CPA is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with keen attention to detail
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage
  • Exceptionally organised and efficient, capable of working both collaboratively in a team and independently
  • Strong time management skills to manage a substantial workload and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
