Description:
Ballymascanlon Hotel & Golf Resort is currently recruiting for a full time Assistant Accountant to join the Team.
The Ballymascanlon Hotel is a four-star property set on 130 acres of beautiful parkland, this impressive Victorian House forms the heart of this Hotel. It is one of the most remarkable historical estates in Ireland dating back to 833 A.D.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years in a similar role
- Proficiency with Excel
- Strong knowledge and experience using SAGE software
- Experience with online Procurement systems and Timepoint is an advantage
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Operate at the highest level of integrity and transparency
- Hotel experience an advantage
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the production of the monthly management accounts including P&L accounts, KPI’s and Balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile nominal accounts to Trial Balance
- Oversee Income audit with overall responsibility for Bank reconciliation and credit card reconciliation
- Manage debtor, deposit and gift card ledgers
- Manage Creditors ledger together with payments within agreed terms
- Credit control liaising with hotel management in collecting the debtor’s ledger
- Responsible for processing of weekly payroll in absence of payroll administrator
- Responsible for statutory Revenue returns including VAT and PAYE
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
- Assist in the annual audit process
- Provide timely reports and forecasts to assist in the financial management of the property
