WHAT EXPERIENCE WE THINK YOU’LL NEED
- Fully AAT Qualified as a minimum
- Experience of working in a finance or accounts team
- Working experience of accounts systems and software, NetSuite preferred
- High level of competence and experience with Microsoft Excel
- Good numeracy and IT skills
- Possess the ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment
- Effective personal organisation and planning
- Logical and analytical approach
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work to and meet deadlines

Responsibilities:
- Working alongside the Finance Manager to produce monthly management accounts including variance investigation and working with budget holders to report on their spend
- Ledger reconciliations
- Accruals and prepayments
- Cost reallocations
- Review of stock position and aged balances
- Regular review of GRNI reporting and approval of internal spend requisitions
- Review of vendor prepayments account, working with operational and transactions teams to resolve queries
- Regular review of month end adjusting items
- Act as a business point of contact for expense and travel platforms, carrying out review of booking request and expense claims.
- Prepare quarterly VAT Return for both UK and overseas registrations
- VAT Checks prior to invoicing for overseas orders
- Support the annual Audit process
- Process Rebate Invoices and Distributor Rebate Credits
- Support the Transactional Finance Manager and Financial Manager to prepare Cashflow Forecasts, and assist with management of forex
- Ensuring robust financial controls are established, well understood and are being followed throughout the business.
- Identifying and implementing process improvement and changes, embracing automation opportunities where possible.
- Support the day-to-day financial activities and other ad hoc activities as required.
