Cromwell are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our growing and busy team. As an Overseas Assistant Accountant you will support the provision of accounting for all businesses in the Cromwell group, helping to implement new ways of working and maintaining excellent relationships with all stakeholders.
This role will suit an experienced Overseas Assistant Accountant with great communication skills and inquisitive mindset to ask the right questions and not be afraid to do so!

Responsibilities:

  • Completion of the monthly P&L and balance sheet on a timely and accurate basis, with high quality analysis, commentary and reporting
  • Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that any differences / issues are identified, reported and resolved
  • Ensure the integrity of the financial records, defining controls, procedures necessary to ensure consistency, accuracy and reliability of financial results
  • Ensure a high quality, effective service is provided to all stakeholders for all accounting activity, working closely with other teams to provide excellent reporting and to support with financial decision making
  • Embed a culture of continuous improvement across area of influence, encouraging simplicity, efficiency, ownership and accountability
  • Ensure personal development plans are maintained and discussed regularly, together with ensuring all elements of the performance review process are kept up to date and discussed on a regular basis
