JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. This role involves a wide range of accounting responsibilities and plays a crucial part in the financial activities of the Company.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent with a minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience. Candidates with audit experience are welcome to apply.
  • Good technical knowledge of financial reporting standards and management reporting requirements.
  • Good analytical thought process and business acumen, able to anticipate issues and offer ideas for resolution.
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software and MS Office applications.
  • Meticulous and able to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates.
  • Able to work independently with good time management skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with personnel at all levels, including management.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the full set of accounts, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and inventories.
  • Issue invoices to Clients and ensure accurate billing.
  • Monitor suppliers’ invoices, ensure payments are up-to-date, and maintain proper documentation and filing systems for financial records and transactions.
  • Check and verify employee claims for disbursement.
  • Prepare month-end closing documents such as General Ledger, journals, schedules, and reconciliations (including intercompany transactions and bank reconciliation).
  • Maintain sales contracts, sales incomes, and payments with monthly reporting.
  • Manage CPF & payroll of staff, and levy.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to manage and resolve issues.
  • Assist in quarterly GST submission and annual tax filing.
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of the audit process.
  • Ensure timely and accurate weekly and monthly closing financial reporting for entities to the management.
  • Assist in the areas of statutory audits and internal audits.
  • Undertake any ad-hoc projects or duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer.
