JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. This role involves a wide range of accounting responsibilities and plays a crucial part in the financial activities of the Company.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent with a minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience. Candidates with audit experience are welcome to apply.
- Good technical knowledge of financial reporting standards and management reporting requirements.
- Good analytical thought process and business acumen, able to anticipate issues and offer ideas for resolution.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software and MS Office applications.
- Meticulous and able to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates.
- Able to work independently with good time management skills.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with personnel at all levels, including management.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage the full set of accounts, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and inventories.
- Issue invoices to Clients and ensure accurate billing.
- Monitor suppliers’ invoices, ensure payments are up-to-date, and maintain proper documentation and filing systems for financial records and transactions.
- Check and verify employee claims for disbursement.
- Prepare month-end closing documents such as General Ledger, journals, schedules, and reconciliations (including intercompany transactions and bank reconciliation).
- Maintain sales contracts, sales incomes, and payments with monthly reporting.
- Manage CPF & payroll of staff, and levy.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to manage and resolve issues.
- Assist in quarterly GST submission and annual tax filing.
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of the audit process.
- Ensure timely and accurate weekly and monthly closing financial reporting for entities to the management.
- Assist in the areas of statutory audits and internal audits.
- Undertake any ad-hoc projects or duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer.
