ABOUT THE JOB:

We are seeking an assistant accountant to support the day-to-day financial operations of our award-winning agribusiness. You will calculate and process invoices, reports, account statements, and purchase orders. Enters, verifies, and reconciles accounting transactions including accounts payable and receivable. Records information, processes, and files forms, investigates, and resolves discrepancies. Assists in month-end reporting procedures.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • 1-2 years experience
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook programs, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Loves problem-solving and thrives when presented with a new challenge.
  • Takes pride in producing great work and pays attention to the details.
  • Strong time management, work ethic and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload accordingly.
  • A self-starter – someone who can work independently and report back along the way and when done.
  • Good communications skills: written and verbal English.
  • Professional demeanuor, and team-player attitude.
  • Ability to work successfully with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
  • Ability to work in the office full-time.

Responsibilities:

  • Process entries into ERP for accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales invoices etc.
  • Preparation of Financial Reporting
  • Create purchase orders and sales invoices
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Credit card reconciliation
  • Inventory reconciliation
  • Intercompany reconciliations
  • Assist in month end and year end FS closure
  • Analyzing data for trends and reporting
  • Performing other tasks as assigned on an ad hoc basis
