About the Role:
We are looking for a experience Assistant Accountant. As an Assistant Accountant, you will be reporting to the Head of Finance/Senior Accountant. This role will involve the following duties but not limited to:
- Assist in preparation of management reporting, including forecasted statements, periodically, including projected statements and budgets
- Assist in analyzing complex financial reports, and financial data and creating reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties, such as vendors or suppliers, banks and statutory auditors.
- Maintaining the general ledger, preparing/filing tax returns, assisting with external/internal audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.
- Processing weekly payroll operations by crosschecking deputy time sheets and Quick Book Payroll.
- Arranging accounting entries, compliance-based auditing, producing accounting information and record-keeping
- Working directly with the company Director, reviewing, timely lodging, and payment of regulatory and taxation needs such as BAS, payroll tax, Superannuation, and paperwork for ASIC.
- Creating and maintaining accounting systems, as well as advising on the selection and use of computer-based accounting systems.
- Review and reconcile business bank statements, financial transactions, and actual budgets against the year’s expected budget.
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
About the applicant:
- Qualifications Required: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Skills and Experience:
· Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
· Proficiency in accounting software such as MYOB advanced or MYOB AccountRight.
· Strong knowledge of accounts payable/receivable processes and reconciliation.
· Excellent communication and time management skills.
