Job description

CONTRACT TYPE: PERMANENT, START DATE, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, ambitious and inspirational colleague to join our successful Admin team.
This post is integral to our school and plays an important role in enhancing the opportunities for young people. This post would suit a passionate and motivated colleague who is experienced in working successfully with pupils, and looking forward to working with children with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs to ensure their success.
As an Assistant Administration Officer, you will need to share our commitment and vision and want to work with a team of likeminded colleagues. Our collection of schools is not only changing but also growing. As a result, this could lead to further progression opportunities within our schools over time.
Ideally you will have experience of working within a school environment and have up to date and detailed knowledge and experience of using a school MIS and other school data related data bases and software. You will also have detailed knowledge and understanding of MS Office. The role could involve flexible working over multiple sites across Derby City.
The successful candidate will be able to work cooperatively within a diverse team of professionals from across the education and wider care landscape. Our mantra “we never give up” underpins our approach to working with pupils and guides our values. This is a fundamental part of our school vision, which means it is important that the successful candidate can fully embrace and embody this philosophy.
We understand that our staff team are at the heart of our success. We have developed a strong culture of collaboration and cooperation with a high regard for personal and professional development. If you feel that you have the ability and drive to enable our students to reach their full potential, joining our school also offers many personal benefits including:
1. A committed and passionate staff team
2. A strong commitment to your continuing professional development and training opportunities
3. Regular well-being support
4. A supportive environment where your talents will be encouraged, nurtured and rewarded.
Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play in safeguarding children. All Governors, staff, trainees and volunteers have a responsibility and role to play to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. Staff members will maintain an attitude of “it could happen here” where safeguarding is concerned. This position involves substantial access to Children and is therefore subject to an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for any previous criminal convictions or safeguarding issues.
We may undertake an online check for shortlisted candidates.
