DESCRIPTION

The Department of Life & Environmental Sciences invites applicants for a full-time position at the open rank: Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Environmental Sciences.
Candidates are expected to be able to teach the following courses:
Environmental Impact
Earth Systems
Water & Solid Waste Management
Energy and Sustainability
Environmental Sciences & Ecosystem Analysis

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Environmental Science, Remote Sensing, Sustainability, Environmental Management, or a closely related field from an accredited university that is, or can be, recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education.
We seek candidates who can teach and conduct research in an interdisciplinary environment, demonstrating a strong track record of teaching, service, and research that includes a proven record of scholarly research and publications in peer-reviewed journals; and experience in securing external research funding and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
Strong evidence of teaching excellence and a student-centred, innovative approach to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels is essential. At least two years of teaching experience is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.
