Position Information
This position is security-sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of the Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

Successful candidates are required to hold a Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an APA-accredited and/or NASP-approved program by the time of appointment, be eligible for licensure as both a Psychologist and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology. Applications from individuals who are ABD will be considered, but the Doctoral degree must be conferred by the start date of the position.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION

The preferred candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience as a school psychologist practitioner and the potential for acquiring extramural funding. Candidates must be committed to and passionate about a student-centered approach.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

Be eligible for licensure as both a Psychologist and Licensed Specialist in School Psychology, and demonstrate evidence of or strong potential for, scholarship in areas relevant to school psychology.

Responsibilities:

Duties will include teaching various graduate courses associated with the Specialist in School Psychology Program as well as the opportunity to assume other psychology-related instructional areas as needed. Duties will also include teaching undergraduate courses in areas of expertise, supervising field-based practical experiences, conducting psychological research and other scholarly activities, and advising and mentoring students. Research and applied interests are open.
