DESCRIPTION

The Department of International Affairs and Social Sciences is part of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences which offers an undergraduate program in International Studies, with three concentrations in International Relations, Middle East and Gulf Studies, and Political Economy and Development.
The program of International Studies takes a broad, multidisciplinary approach to the study of Political Science, Anthropology, History, Sociology, and Humanities at the local, regional and international levels. The department also offers a graduate program of Masters in Diplomacy and International Affairs (MDIA).
Candidates should hold a doctorate in Political Science/ International Relations at the time of appointment and be prepared to teach undergraduate courses on political science, international relations, political economy and others.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Ph.D. in Political Science / International Relations at the time of appointment.
• A proven record of excellence at baccalaureate-level and postgraduate teaching.
• Record of professional research accomplishment including peer-reviewed publications.
• Previous experience in teaching at similar institutions at the rank of assistant professor or above.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate web-based and/or digital technology in the classroom.
