Description:

Assistant/Associate Professor of Law - Tenure Track
The University of Massachusetts School of Law invites applications for the 2025-2026 academic year for three tenure track positions.
Areas of particular interest include Civil Procedure, Criminal Law, and Criminal Procedure. Other areas of need include Trusts and Estates, Tax, Family Law, and Business Organizations. We are interested in entry level and lateral candidates who are, or promise to be, engaged scholars, exemplary teachers, and devoted institutional citizens. Candidates must hold a J.D. or other advanced law degree.
The law school especially welcomes applications from candidates who bring a blend of law practice and teaching experience to their approach to classroom pedagogy and the student experience. We strongly encourage applications from people of color, women, individuals with disabilities, LGBTQ people, veterans, and others whose background, experience, and viewpoints would contribute to a diverse and inclusive environment.
The University of Massachusetts School of Law is located on the beautiful south coast of Massachusetts in Dartmouth, MA. It is 60 miles south of Boston and 30 miles east of Providence, RI. We are the state’s only public law school and hold a strong commitment to providing an excellent, affordable legal education. We are also dedicated to improving the quality and reach of justice in Massachusetts and beyond and seek candidates who share that commitment.
To apply for this position, please submit a letter of interest, current curriculum vitae, and contact information for three professional references via our hiring portal. Please note that incomplete applications cannot be reviewed.
