Description:
Are you a hospitality enthusiast with supervisory experience across varied food & beverage outlets? Hotel Grand Pacific is recruiting an Assistant Banquet Manager to join our food & beverage department.
Located on Victoria’s beautiful inner harbour, we are a Preferred hotel home to the gorgeous Fathom Restaurant and Lounge, the cozy Courtyard Café, and beautiful function spaces.
An adaptable and hands-on individual, the assistant banquet manager will support the restaurant, room service, banquet and cafe teams, working with department managers to ensure operations run smoothly.

Duties:
- Supervise food & beverage outlets in the absence of the department manager(s).
- Monitor food & beverage quality before service to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.
- Ensure professional and efficient service is provided to all guests.
- Professionally and promptly respond to escalated guest complaints or concerns.
- Assist with event set up, hosting, and serving as required.
- Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, training, and coaching of food & beverage employees.
- Assist with preparing staff schedules and submitting time sheets to payroll.
- Assist with inventory control.
- Other duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager or designate.
