Your new team
This position sits in our Chivas Brothers business. At Chivas Brothers, our 1,600-strong team across 27 sites is committed to upholding the heritage of Scotch and ensuring its sustainable future, as well as opening it up to new audiences across the globe.
Ballantine’s is a key player in the world of Scotch. The second biggest Scotch whisky brand in the world, it is also recognised for its outstanding quality and whisky-making heritage that dates back to 1827. Not to mention the multiple industry awards we receive every year. We are the first major blended scotch whisky to have launched a Single Malt range. It’s an exciting time for the brand, as we aim to reinforce our prestige status, taking influence from contemporary trends and launching disruptive NPD projects and communications plans in Asia and beyond…
Your unique contribution
We are seeking an Assistant Brand Manager to join our team, working on Ballantine’s Prestige. In this role you will collaborate with the wider team and our local markets to establish Ballantine’s as the Contemporary Classic Scotch, and win in Asian Prestige markets.
More specifically, you will:
1) Lead the development of our upcoming Limited-Edition offerings (orientated around our audience Passion for Art) as well as the next editions of our High-end whisky collection. This includes:
- Concepting & Design: identify opportunities, create product concept, work with packaging agencies to create packaging designs and align with key markets to ensure designs are compelling and relevant for target customers & consumers.
- Product Development: Collaborate with packaging development, finance, legal and customer service teams, ensuring clear project management in an effective and timely manner.
2) Lead the development of 360˚ activation toolkits that provide all necessary assets for markets to create impactful activations locally (digital/social, on/off premise, travel retail, etc.). This includes:
- Collaborating with internal and external agencies to produce inspiring assets (hero visuals, product displays, market training, etc.) and toolkits
- Work closely with Communications team to develop global PR launch strategy
- For global launch activity, collaborate with Communications, Experiences and Paid Media teams to deliver events and digital/social launches
- Set and deliver agreed KPI’s for key projects, conduct follow-up with markets to measure success and gain learnings for future.
3) Provide support to the wider team:
- Support Brand Planning Process and content for Ballantine’s Prestige (Spring / Fall)
- Manage budget for own projects and support the overall team budget management process (PO opening and tracking)
- Champion collaboration with key markets and support the wider team in on-going requests from key markets.

Externally, you will be working closely with experiential, event and PR agencies
Your blend of talent

- Some experience in new product development and 360 campaign development obtained preferably from a luxury environment. Wine & Spirits experience a plus.
- Well organised and strong sense of ownership of projects and project management
